When Should You Start Using Anti-Aging Products?
A lot of people feel that there is no right or wrong age to start anti-aging products, however, we feel that starting as soon as possible would be the best idea.
Starting Level Aging Creams
What you need to understand mainly is that anti-aging products have degrees and levels. You don’t really have to start extreme wrinkle creams in your 20’s, but there are many anti-aging products that you can use in your twenties. The “Starting level” aging creams (as we like to call it), can help save your from blemishes and dullness. Moving on to your thirties, you can focus more on fine lines and then over to wrinkles and saggy skin. Incorporate an eye cream in your skin care regime. Incorporate a good quality SPF sun screen. And most importantly, incorporate a toner in your skin care regime. These three products help prevent aging the most.
Your skin is at its prime during the early 20’s and the skin repairing mechanisms are at their best. However, this slows down over time which why using anti-aging products by the age of 20 are almost essential as they decide how your skin will look in the long run. These products prevent spots, dullness, sagging, fine lines around the eyes and mouth, and of course wrinkles.
Using the Right Products
Now there is no one ingredient or one exact skin routine that could be considered the key to youthful skin. However, using the right skin care at the right time is what will do the trick. Most dermatologists recommend retinol creams or serums for people in their 20s unless you’re pregnant. Retinoids are a no no in that case. However, if you’re not pregnant are in your 20s-30s, you must start using a retinol infused cream because most dermatologists say that it increases cell cycle turnover and aids collagen production.
Choose a Cleansing Oil
The next thing to do is pick up a cleansing oil and then not just keep it there, but of course wash your face with it, twice daily. It is absolutely necessary to use a good cleanser that suits your skin type. A good cleanser will ensure that your pores are clean and don’t have any pollutants stuck in. Clogged pores can make your look tired and older.
Don’t Forget to Exfoliate
Now in order to have and keep the youthful glow and plump skin, you have to stimulate your skin mainly for it to repair itself and get rid of dead skin cells. Exfoliation is almost like exercise for your face, the same way you need exercise for your body to stay in shape. You must use a scrub at night, so that you scrub off the dead skin that might be clogging your pores, causing break outs and that your skin has time to recover.
You must also remember that your diet also effects how you look and the way you age But we’ll leave that for another day!
